Sir Martin Gilbert Learning Centre

The Sir Martin Gilbert Learning Centre, a charity, was established in 2018 to uphold Sir Martin Gilbert’s legacy using his scholarship, integrity and principles as a guide for those who wish to learn from history.

The Centre aims to bring historical learning to wide audiences and to engage people of diverse ages and backgrounds.

Programmes include lectures, events, courses, and essay competitions about the subjects closest to Martin’s heart:

the Holocaust, Sir Winston Churchill, the two World Wars, Israel, and modern Jewish history.

In understanding the past, we will have context for our present times and potential for a safer, saner future.
